Our Origins: On November 9, 1970, the Palermo Snowmobile Club was conceived by interested members of the community. A well attended first meeting formulated the plans. A motion was made and seconded, then unanimously approved to organize the club. At that meeting, the first Monday of the month was set as the designated meeting night, which remains to this day. Officers were elected. 34 Charter members formed the Club. The name of the Club was originally the "Palermo Area Snow Travelers". Dues were set at $3.00 for an individual, $5.00 for a family. At the second meeting, December 7, 1970, 2 members were appointed to design a Club emblem.
